Visual Studio Productivity Power Tools

If you haven’t installed the Productivity Power Tools add-on for Visual Studio already, then do so now!

It adds a bunch of new functionality to the IDE – the kind of things that, at first, you think ‘I don’t need that’: but get used to them and the first time you find you don’t have them, you’ll be swearing a blue-streak.

You can get them at http://visualstudiogallery.msdn.microsoft.com/d0d33361-18e2-46c0-8ff2-4adea1e34fef/

One gotcha: When I copy or cut I tend to hit ctrl first, highlight the text and then hit C or X. I don’t know why I developed this habit – I just have it. This habit is incompatible with the ctrl+click Go To Definition function in the Productivity Tools: it keeps sending me to the definition of what I am trying to copy. Totally my fault, but still annoying.
