Easy screen capture in W7


This is not really a programming note, however, I thought it was worth mentioning: as a programmer I am often doing screen captures and including them in documentation or e-mails.  I have always used the ctl-PrtScn and alt-PrtScn keyboard combo to do this and then pasted the images into MS Paint or somesuch to crop and annotate.

I just found out that Windows 7 (and apparently, Vista too) has a better way!  Just enter “snipping tool” into the start menu’s search.  The rest should be self-explanatory.
